The Gravesend RFC Academy for boys in year 12 and 13 at school or at college has gone from strength to strength in the past few years. For the first time in club history, this season (24/25) there are two Academy sides competing in the Kent County League. Gravesend RFC prides itself on the fact that today's Academy players are the future for the senior sides, our current 1st and 2nd XV's feature recent Academy graduates who have gone onto represent our club at senior level. The club's coaching style and personnel are utilised across age grades to develop our young players. Supported by coaches who have been with this group of players for over ten years our first team coaches/players work weekly with our Academy squad to foster the talent in our GRFC family.

Training sessions and matches take place on at 10am on Sunday mornings from the beginning of September through to the end of April. We also train weekly on a Thursday night between 6pm and 7:30pm with a particular emphasis on fitness and core skills.

Come and join a family friendly club, with qualified & DBS checked coaches, who promote the RFU core values of rugby: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, Sportsmanship.
Our aim is to play competitive, entertaining rugby, focusing on team and individual development. Above all we play the game with a smile on our face from our mini and youth teams through to the Academy and Senior teams.

Club facilities include:
• Three full size, three overflow and one training pitch.
• Physio and first aid qualified staff on duty every Sunday morning.
• Club Shop open Sunday mornings and Saturdays for all your kit requirements.
• Café open for hot and cold refreshments and food.
• Lounge bar opens weekends and evenings throughout the week. (Social membership required).
• All equipment provided; tackle pads, scrummage machines, fitness equipment.
• Dedicated mini rugby pitches.
